STOCKTON, NJ

Part of the industrial complex developed by John Prall in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, the sawmill is a long, low timber-frame building consisting of three distinct sections. After years of deferred maintenance and repeated flooding, the project consisted of new roofing, structural repairs, accessibility provisions and electrical and lighting upgrades. The result has been a highly successful adaptive use of the building for three-season exhibit space. This project received public grant funding.
