Glenburn, the 19th century estate of painter George Linen, was the much-publicized subject of a successful local grassroots effort to save it from demolition by a shopping mall developer. HMR worked with the Passaic River Coalition to prepare a successful Morris County Preservation Trust application for a comprehensive Preservation Plan. HMR worked with the Borough of Riverdale and the Riverdale Land Conservancy on a multi-phase restoration and rehabilitation of the main house, outbuildings and site. Glenburn currently operates a busy schedule of meetings and events, generating income for the ongoing preservation and maintenance of the site. This project received public grant funding.
